Yo yo, basically I'm a bit stuck with a track that i made, i realise there's a lot of issues with it (I made it months and months back) but I really like the main melody i created and want to work with it.

Just wondering if anybody's got any help on the sort of structure i could use, alsoo any ideas how to give it moreee sort of 'OOOMPH!' post-drop as it loses its energy... I realise i need to revamp the drums too as theyre a bit cheesey..

Cheers

Stop trying to make everything loud I say as you're just making it sound weak and soft. You have the potential of a great bottom-end, but the rest of the mix is so heavily compressed.

Really liked the breakdown. You worked some sub into there too, albeit it's maybe a bit heavy.

Your kick almost sounds like it's clipping though. You've applied far too much master compression to warrant even a decent sounding master, so go back to the mix drawing board.

Sorry that wasn't the advice you were looking for, but I though I'd leave some input here anyhow.

right now im listening on my laptops built in speakers so cant comment on any technical issues, but on the musical side:

The big super-saw lead itself is good but a bit lonely, so a counter melody working in a "call-answer" relationship would thicken the overall sound up and keep it interesting. Try an arpegegiator feature if you have one on your sequencer as these give a quick-fix trancy effect without too much effort and even if you mix it into the background gives things some energy to grab peoples sub-concious.

I also think the breakdown needs some pads and or sweepy sounds with movement in them to keep it all moving, and some extra percussion loops on the top would help thicken it up and make it drive more.

I should mention Im a "More is More" believer when it comes to trance production but others will disagree.
