| Wondering if the VIP list is for a higher price admission with extra access?I fell for that once (on a Saturday night back when Vanguard was EDM) and paid twice the GA price, but had "exclusive access to the upstairs hip hop room." :wtf: Bottom line, I like guestlists with the cover, cutoff time, and perks stated upfront or otherwise they're of no value to me. |

Pretty simple, really. When I sign up on a guestlist email list, I get an auto-reply that I'm on the guestlist (or no reply at all) and usually nothing more for that event...except that I get so many emails over the next year that they go into my spam box and I leave them there.
DJ Gil (Spundae) had a guestlist that others can only aspire to...select your date from the drop-down box, number of "+" guests desired, then receive an auto-confirmation email that shows the cover, cutoff time and confirms receipt. Then I just show that email at the door if there's any problem. His emails do not go into my spam box! ;)
Sorry if I sound mistrusting, but I've just been burned too many times by "sorry, you're not on the list, mate" or you stand in a line 30 people deep and don't find out the cover until another 30 people are behind you. It's like those Hollywood parking lots that don't have any sign on the street and then you find out that it's $35 once 10 cars are behind you...I don't park in them. :) |

I totally understand believe me I make myself available to deal with such issues via text. I absolutely hated the way some people I've worked with in the past treated people who have supported us over the years. I don't think that people who are taking your money should feel entitled to treat you like , it was my number one issue when I worked with certain tools who to this day still treat their patrons like absolute crap. I keep it simple, email whatever number of guests you'd like and you get a auto confirmation email or you can text direct.
See our fb invite all the info, the guidelines are clear as day and I do make it my personal issue to hear feedback. I, however, won't listen to people who just can't seem to follow guidelines and show up 30 minutes after the list is closed.
