Come on, roasting veal and baking potatoes isn't exactly rocket science. You just need to get some quality meat, the rest should be instinct. |
Of course I can do that, I just wondered if there was some kind of Croatian way of making it, with specific herbs/spices and whatever. |

Since I'm the only one who mentioned vegetarianism here, I'm going to assume you asked me. Well, I'm allergic to meat*, but I kick pigeons in my spare time to make up for it :)
*Except for those products I mentioned... my body never showed any reaction to them. Katsuo and hondashi are to meat what homoeopathy is to medicine though, and I wonder if the same is not true of chikuwa. |

so Lira, if u had been born with cavemen where all they ate was berries and meat...you would have been ed??
maybe its the American in me, (or Texan) but god damn meat is delicious. give me some baby-back ribs > a bowl of rice any in day :p |

I'm not sure I'd be ed because I'd look hideous, but I'd definitely be undernourished :p
You see, lactose tolerance is quite recent in human evolution, so I wouldn't be able to rely on milk and eggs as much as my post-modern self does. |

| Are you truly allergic to meat or is it all in your head? I've heard of ppl who can't eat shellfish but not all meat. I find it highly suspicious. So what happens to you if you eat meat? You afraid you'll turn into a fat American? Btw, I try to avoid eating red meat, not that I don't like it, just not healthy. |

Yes, I even start pronouncing all the r's, it's scary! :D
I've made myself the same question, by the way, but I get the reactions even when I don't know I'm eating meat (yeah, it does happen when you're not anal enough about it: apparently, people sometimes forget that fish and chicken don't grow in trees). |

| I've never heard of a meat allergy. What is it about meat you're allergic to? And what kind of reaction do you have? |

I've heard of it, but again it could just be all in someone's head.
They say the smell/taste of meat makes them physically ill or noxious. |

I really have no idea. What is present in meat in general but isn't found in the products I mentioned?

Ever seen the scars in my face?
Some time after I ingest meat (I usually notice it after a day, maybe a little less), I get some nodules underneath my skin (usually in the face). Everyone blamed it on puberty when I was in my teens, not even isotretinoin could stop it.
In all honesty, I couldn't care less about it: I don't miss meat (except for breaded chicken). The only bit that irks me is how I found out meat seemed to be the problem.
I don't give iridology any sort of scientific validation, however a friend of my father's stopped me in the street and asked me if I had burned my skin (it looked that bad). When I told him I didn't, he looked at my iris (he was an iridologist from India) and told me not to eat meat. I didn't pay any attention at the time and thought he was just a reiki master but, long story short, there seemed to be a correlation: whenever I went long periods without meat, my skin got better; as soon as I had meat (of any kind), the nodules grew back.
Why? Beats me, but it ing hurts and bleeds like hell. I'd rather have a small superstition (though I've had enough "double-blind" experiments to confirm it) than have it bother me again. |

maybe you should be called mr mystery? swap user names and such. I'm not sure what to say, your approach isn't very scientific. have you seen a doctor?
there could be all sorts of related things causing it like: pesticides, hormones, seasoning, preservatives, etc
I'm sure ta sleuths can solve your problem with only superficial knowledge and elementary education |
