There are many ways to do this, you can use an audio file or do it the way I do which I think one of the simplest and most effective ways to do it.
By using Stylus, go thru all the grooves and mark some in your favourites. Then just drag the midi to your project.
Done. It is so damn simple to get a great groovin template in less than 30 seconds. Another tool that I use is addictive drums for alot of the midi's you can buy for it all played by real drummers. Again , just drag the midi file and you can now use that groove as a quantize grid.
It is so simple and effective. |

I've actually been meaning to get Stylus. It looks like it would get plenty of use. |

there are so many ways to use it. That is the great part. Forget about loop player. It can do so much. And when you get the expansions , you have access to some really humanized grooves that just sound great. |

I think the biggest drawcard is how well it integrates into Omni/Trillian as well, both of which I have :D |
