Well just get SM pro audio Nano Patch 2 for $60 and smile at the $1000 you just saved :gsmile:
(Being serious, the RME is better for a few other reasons).
Actually buying an SM Pro Audio Nano Patch (Or any other non-coloring passive volume control) is a good idea at you can then calibrate your system to different markings on the volume knob to preset points of reference (i.e. quarter volume, half, or -3db etc).
