Presumptuous I know, but has the US ever just considered giving California to Mexico as a present or something and just walk away from the whole embarrassment?

Well that'd be a rather empty gesture...

You're a rave scene, Stu. You just happen to have birds instead of ravers and flashes instead of lasers. But you're a rave scene, very different from the one in the United States, but a rave scene all the same.

Common Grammatical Error Found on Internet Forum Leads Australian Police to Nab Major Rave Promoter

His friends call him Stu but he is known, world-wide, as Sushi-Punk, a well-mannered Queensland area bird photographer and apparently, a major underground party promoter. Stuart, who was rousted from his bed, this morning, in a daring pre-dawn raid by Australian police, claims to have no knowledge of his participation as an organizer for the underground parties commonly linked to the distribution of illegal drugs.

"Well, I was searching for the parties on the internet," said Assistant Magistrate Cheryl Jones, of Queensland's Prosecuting Office, "so we could organize a sting and interdict them, when I saw that a paraphernalia salesman had stated, quite clearly, that Sushipunk was the rave scene." Inspector Gerald Guilford, of the Constables Office added, "This was naturally a 'through the looking glass' moment."

Where the police had initially organized their search for these parties under the assumption that it was separate groups of people who orchestrated them, it seems they have now found one mastermind responsible for the whole scene, in Australia. "You have to consider that this is like the goose who laid the golden egg!" Guilford said. "Normally it's painstaking work with undercover informants and narcotics officers, meticulously building cases for years at a time and Cheryl manages to nab our suspect in record time, doing away with all of that work."

Police and prosecutors are still looking for a person of interest who has apparently witnessed Sushipunk in action as a rave scene. Crisplights, a US distributor of paraphernalia which is interactive with the hallucinogenic properties of MDMA and acid, has been unreachable since early this morning but Queensland law enforcement are working closely with the United States FBI and DEA to obtain his eventual extradition.

Meanwhile, forum members of Trance Addict.com are nonplussed by the news of the arrest. Many noted that Stu had been warned repeatedly about his lifestyle. It was just a matter of time.
