I wasn't trying to come off knowledgeable - THE WHOLE POST WAS A JOKE.
Do I really have to explain...yeah, probably. G-Con made a comment about slaughtering them. I came back with a setup (no, you're way off base) that most people would automatically think was being confrontational and referring to his "slaughter" comment. Then, I caught the reader totally off guard but turning it into a comment about the PC-ness of not referring to them as "Indians". Are you starting to get it yet? It was hilarious.
BTW, don't talk to me about being knowledgeable when it comes to indiginous peoples - I have two sisters (also both adopted) who are Native American and they don't appreciate being called Indians. They aren't from India, you ing retarded dip. |

I can't even believe you would actually bring your adopted sisters into this but now I understand at least why you are thoroughly ignorant about this topic.
First, it does NOT matter if it was a "joke". Do you know why? Because you are STILL sitting here arguing that your deceased alcoholic sister (which you admitted in pm) prefers to be called something that MOST Native Indians in fact DO NOT. She is part of the 15 ing % who prefers to be called something else.
And great, in a therapy setting she would correct me and I'd use whatever term she was obviously more comfortable with.
However, you are forgetting the most important part here, your sisters are representative of a 2 person population which YOU are deriving your professional bull opinion from.

This is like me saying "the majority of black people reported in the last 1995 consensus that they prefer to be called african-american". Then you're dip ass comes in here saying "we have 2 adopted baby black sisters, and they both prefer to be called the black".
That does NOT ing mean you walk around the world calling all african-americans "black". You use african-american by default, and if you encounter those from the minority, you simply change it to w/e they prefer.
You are doing exactly what anyone in this world would do w/out a research background, and no you definitely do not know what you're talking about as you said in your pm. Its obvious you don't do this for a living and I do.
You should prob go have a conversation with your adopted sister now and ask her why 85% of "Native Americans", actually prefer to be called "Native Indians" OR just "Indian" and why you're walking around this world actually offending most Native Indians. As I said once before, "Indian" does NOT refer to 1 ing group of people. It doesn't mean Indians from India so please ing stop polluting the forums with that .
An Indian is either Hindu or Native Indian, your sister is an idiot (yes I disrespected her) for not realizing that when people call her Indian they are refering to Native Indian.

Maybe if they went to school and learned something about indians, they'd learn the term indians is a much more general term then they think, and their belief about it refering to hindus is JUST AS bias as you belief that Native Indians like to called Native Americans, which they do not, they're already told us. Would it not annoy you if a member was telling the rest of the forum that african-americans like to be called black cause he has 2 baby sisters that prefered it that way? Even though 90% of blacks prefer african-american?
I'm not the one who blew this out of proportion, cyro did because he has a very difficult time admitting when he's wrong. In fact, even though I've submitted proof that Native Indians prefer to be call Native Indians (just ing google the consensus and read anywhere online), he's still arguing about his 2 sisters who are representative of the small % that does NOT prefer to called Native Indian because how they define the word Indian itself his inaccurate.
I want an apology from Cyro, and I want him to admit that he's spreading false information that he really doesn't know, otherwise I'm not going anywhere.
