Rising South African artist Andre Frauenstein serves up the next release on Arrival: "Sofia". Andre has previously released techno tracks on Teknotribe and Crowbar; more recently, his progressive house tracks on Dezire as well as the "Follow Me" remix here on Arrival have gained much support, including play on Richard Durand's "In Search Of Sunrise" radio show. "Sofia" slowly builds up to introduce the groovy synth riff that is destined to dominate the rest of the track. Intermittent small plucks add extra texture to the atmosphere, while the strong beat maintains the groove of the song.
The B-side, "Not Without You", quickly establishes a deep soundscape, with buzzing bass notes and sidechained pad lines. An incredibly enjoyable lead melody soon appears, which, when combined ! with the other elements, creates a lush atmosphere for the remainder of the tune.
