| A friend of mine just put a pic up of himself on FB at Wal-Mart in Florida at midnight on Black Friday. A friend commented that he should detail his experience in the form of a companion chapter to Dante's Inferno. |

Everybody is after buying JonSun? He'll be thrilled.
We have plenty of sales, but none ever come into that level of awesomeness over things such as electronics, generally we can get 50% off clothes but you have to fight soccer moms and idiots so generally I don't bother. |

For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, 'round these parts, stores open super early tomorrow and sell a few things for super cheap. There are ridiculous lines and crowds, but there are always some deals to be had.
So, are any of you braving the hoards of housewives tomorrow? I've looked briefly, but haven't seen anything too spectacular. Might go pick up a Plantronics Voyager Pro @ Best Buy (half price tomorrow). What have you guys found? Anything worth the waits? |
Black Friday is almost all crap that stores are trying to clear out of their inventories.
It's amazing how people get excited over bins of $3-5 DVDs (which are YEARS old, by the way) or "saving" a couple hundred dollars on crappy-quality flatscreen TV's whose prices are marked up in the first place.
I mean look at some of the deals people are getting excited about in here:
- $5 for 30 batteries at Home Depot (is it worth it to drive out to that store today and buy more batteries than you'll need just to save a couple bucks?)
- $1700 for Whirlpool appliance suite at Best Buy (it's probably a crap-quality version made just for this day, and who needs new appliances all at once?)
Then you factor in the people who wait in line during Thanksgiving and get there super early...
I'm surprised Black Friday is still as big as it is. |

I bought the same TV (a different model number though), but it was 42"/1080p and it broke in a year.
Panasonic TV's are notorious for power supply problems, which people started reporting on the internet after we bought it. I doubt yours will last long. |
