How to create automation curve that controls multiple parameters in Ableton and Logic

Hi,

Can anybody tell me if in Ableton and Logic you can draw 1 automation curve and let it control more then one parameter at the same time? Is this possible or not?

example: draw 1 curve that automates both the cutoff frequency and resonance of a synth or do you have to draw the curve for each parameter seperately?

If you explain, let me know if you're talking about Ableton or Logic but I would like to know for both programs.

Thanks! :)

I know you can easily copy and paste automation in Ableton.

in ableton:

add an instrument rack device under "Live Devices" or select your entire plugin chain and right click/group.

click "map mode" on the instrument rack, then go to your synth and move whatever knob/slider you want to map, eg. filter cutoff

click on the "map" buttons (on the instrument rack) depending on which macro you want to map filter cutoff to, you can map multiple knobs to the same macro.

create an instrument in the environment ( not in the arrange window), now send that to a transformer, double the input to the CCs you want to adjust and automate that track in the Arrange view.

Also , if the synth doesn't do CC, you will have to use the I can't remember the name editor in the preferences to associate a certain parameter with a CC.
