if they are bigger than a normal cdr yes. if not then you can i guess burn them as vcds or smething.
or watch them on your computer :P |
Nono my friend has a dvd burner and we want to burn dvds. I just want to know if there is a certain dvd-r that I need to buy for movies. |

i'm pretty sure you can't just copy a movie dvd... other than having some protections, they aren't the same size. I don't know which formats your dvd writer is supporting, but most do only 4.35 Gigs. whereas DVD movies are 4.7 Gigs :(
I'm intrested in a DVD burner too... |

| dvd burners are still expensive and ... SLOW , VERY SLOW ... i can't bother waiting 2 hours to burn a DVD , i need to use my cmoputer damn it |

475$ isn't expensive... the first burner i bought was a 2x crack ass burner that screwed one cd out of 3 (15$ every blank at that time), and you know how much I paid?? about 950$ of 1997 money, which is about 39453468$ now ;) hehehe
but seriously, a dvdr is great for archiving huge collections of mp3s (like my 25 gigs of mp3 waiting for the hard drive to crash) or huge collection of l33t warez;) and why can't you use your computer? When I burn at 16x now, i do whatever i want except maybe playing quake 3:)
I'm more and more intrested in it... |

if ure lookin to burn movies, you can burn them onto regular cds and then play them in dvd players as long as the size of the movie isnt bigger than the cd. i cant remember what format you have to use, play around with it. a friend of mine did it and he has tons of movies on cd that work in his dvd player, only problem was they dont work in my PS2 which blows for me. once the prices come down:whip: im definately buyin a dvd burner. although with the prices of some PS2 and XBox games, you could make a truck load of money:D burning and selling those games.
does anyone know how much it is to get a mod chip for a PS2??? |

robr I think I know what you are talking about. Your freind is downloading DivX or ripping a DVD then convert it to SVCD... it takes a whole day to process that conversion on a good computer. Plus SVCD format doesn't have the same quality as the DVD...
and I still stand by my point that you cannot simply copy a PS2 or XBOX games. You have to crack them which is another adventure. |

| crack their ass , remove the vidz , burn them in a cd-r , use the swap trick and u can finally play them on your PS2 which i can't be arsed to do |
