Another bit of fun, figured it was time to murder yet another classic.
The mix down on this one leaves something to be desired as Tranquilo's mix is pretty full on and it was a trade off between cutting and loosing the original feel or keeping and having it sound a bit meh.
I opted for meh as I wanted to retain the feel of the original chill out track but pack more energy into it.
It took me about 2 and half hours so it's not a long term project, but figured I would share it with y'all.

I think you did exactly this. I'd forgotten this classic actualy. Nice work - like the depth of the kick and percs.

Impressive for two hours of work but, not having heard the original, I wanted more from this and heard a couple of missed opportunities (which I may have tried to take advantage of at the risk of screwing up the original artist's intent along with the quality of my hypothetical version) to add some depth; both musically and with the mix. This, however, could be blown off as my own subjective take.
More urgently, however, there seems to be some resonant spectral harshness between the prominent crash and long-decay kick @ 303. While I love spectral artifacts, I think it might behoove you to look at that part through a spectrum analyzer and cut some (but not all) of the frequencies which are phasing with one another, there.

I'm liking this remix, the whole vibe is really chills with a mix of enough energy to make you dance. One thing I feel is missing is to add another lead, one made by you, to give the track a more unique character to your artist's name.

what i like about this track is it also sounds good sped up in a mix.the track sounds kindy muddy to me but that doesent take away from the track although it does make it a little harder to beatmatch into a song with, especially since theres a little bit of a double kick in the track early on.
overall this is great though!i like and play a lot of your stuff.and i love that you make your tracks available for download!!your on the right track with your music mate, well done!

Heya bigjimslade002
Thanks for listening. It makes me very happy that you like what I make.
I encountered quite a few challenges with this one, partly as there is such a wall of white noise in the original as it is a chill out version that I decided to butcher he he.
I have the CD of this and I found that the master of the original (not meaning to blame my tools) was perhaps not as I would have liked it to be for this type of project.
I know it has flaws but it was one of those things that I just felt I had to do. :)
I have some new stuff on the way so will post that soon.
Thanks all for listening.
cheers

I bet this is a fun thing to do, even if it is a bit throwaway perhaps?
I don't know the original, but this mix is working for me. :)
