HOMEGROWN is an event that has decided to shift the focus from overseas to DJs born and/or residing within the USA.
This is a 7-hour party starting at 10pm til way past your bedtime every 2nd Friday of the month and whose objective is to showcase the amazing talents of DJs that are being overlooked by other events just because one doesn't live in Berlin, UK, Amsterdam or what have you. In essence, we believe good music is good music, regardless of where you come from.
At the end of the day, this is an event for the scene, by the scene. The best part of it is, HOMEGROWN DJs know already what you like, and how you like it.
We have had DJs like JOHN TEJADA, THEE-O and others, but for this round, on FRIDAY, DEC 10, HOMEGROWN proudly presents a special night headlined by TREAVOR of MOONTRIBE & TERRAKROMA; MOONTRIBE is one of LA's most respected COLLECTIVES which recently celebrated their 18-year anniversary of playing natural and meaningful dance music while TERRAKROMA represent the newer school!
Between MOONTRIBE & TERRAKROMA, they have produced at Ritual Sounds, System Recordings, Chug Records, Desert Trax as well as licensing and remixing for Bedrock and Sunkissed Records, and Moontribe's SOUND WITHOUT WALLS album was even voted one of the eight top dance compilations of ALL TIME at Spin Magazine (2000).
