Keeping a notebook

Anyone keep written notebooks for a diary / journal or just random notes? I used to fill up notebooks with notes and sketches, but that was mostly before I discovered the net.

How about you?

When I used to write a lot, I kept a notebook to write down any ideas I had, but that was quite a while ago now. I don't really bother any more, and consequently I suppose, I forget a lot of stuff :p

i used to. it's always so embarrassing to return to old notebooks, though.
A friend of mine dug up my old livejournal account for a laugh. She had been rereading hers and suggested I do the same. It was terribly depressing. The last post I wrote was about a girl I'd had a sort of fling with over the summer of my freshman year in college. I had to return home though so after seeing her for a week we kept in touch over the summer. The next year, back at school, I went and spent a weekend at her house when her parents were away. My relationship, if you will, with this girl was one of those ridiculous things that probably only happen so many times in life and about which I'll always have funny stories to tell.... Anyway, fast forward a month after that slumber party: I meet a girl on campus, we date. I don't realize how crazy she is. Previous girl texts me at some point, enraging girlfriend who deletes other girl from my phone and my facebook. Now, a few years later, I haven't heard from her or been in touch with her ... have no way to. :( uber-depressing.

I've got several, actually.

I usually keep the notebooks with pretentious nerdy stuff. As for the journals, I have a Ukrainian penpal with whom I've been exchanging letters for over a decade now. It's nice to see how much I learnt during this time when I read my mail :)

I've never been able to keep a diary. I write notes down for interesting ideas, though.

I keep a big year diary for business where I jot down meetings, auctions, billing and other stuff. A smaller little spiral backed notepad and pen in my purse for when I'm running around and have a things to do list.
Its weird that in a way, if I physically write it down I dont forget it.

Probably makes me an anachronism in the modern age of smartphones but meh, whatever.

I write little notes all over the place to remember things (like appointments, things I need to do or buy etc.) but as for a Diary sort of thing, I really don't have one anymore. I used to keep one and wrote in it inconsistently as a child, but I can't be bothered anymore.

I keep 'to-do' lists but don't actually jot anything interesting down on paper. A lot of things are documented on forums and social sites like Facebook anyway these days.

I'm not a fan of clutter. If it's important, I'll remember it.

I keep everything i need on my phone. Shopping lists, pin numbers, appointments, meetings, dinners, birthdays, random thoughts that i need to remember later, ingenious ideas that i will never follow trough...everything. I sync my phone with the computer every day just so that im not completely ed if i ever loose it.
