I would classify it as a desperate and transparent ploy to promote your music by masking it as a topic of discussion. Oh! I'm sorry. You wanted a genre...
Well lets see, it always threatens to become interesting but never really follows through as a series of unrelated but sympathetic themes are introduced and then retreated in such a way which makes it althemore disjointed. While it has the acidic quality of acid house, acid house never threatened anyone with anything, let alone becoming interesting so...

Lol it's not my music. IT really is my friend's, and yeah I don't mind promoting my friends' music, cause I think it kicks ass. That said I wish I could claim I'd written it :p I'm also a EDM n00b, so I was wondering what you would call it so I could look up well known stuff in the genre.
Personally I like the disjointed quality of it... that's what makes it sound good to me...
Anyways, you don't have to be a jerk. |

Nevertheless, that you're coincidentally posting a friend's YouTube, which has only recently been uploaded, to a forum for open music discussion mitigates your profession of personal curiosity. The timely placement of this thread, more to the point, indicates some intent to promote yours or another person's work in a place where it is likely to receive more views than where it belongs in the Music Producer's Promotion forum; where, in all likelihood, it could get a couple of nibbles before dropping unceremoniously to the bottom like so much other refuse.
The question of whether or not the music actually belongs to you is moot. |
