| quote: | (Dec. 2) -- The international manhunt for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in a sex-crime investigation in Sweden apparently stems from a condom malfunction.
Assange's London attorney, Mark Stephens, told AOL News today that Swedish prosecutors told him that Assange is wanted not for allegations of rape, as previously reported, but for something called "sex by surprise," which he said involves a fine of 5,000 kronor or about $715. |

Spoken like a true American. Sarah Palin would be proud.
OT: Assange is doing what a real media newspaper should do. Spread the truth of what politicians elected by us do with our money.
Of course media today is too busy concentrating on what "The Situation" did in Jersey Shore or whatever the of a show it's on in the USA.
Besides, this is far greater than USA per se. There is tons of other information regarding politics and regimes in other countries. Part of the Swedish government is under investigation for hiding information from allies atm.
The fact that this guy is spreading legitimate information and is seen as a threat, terrorist and has tons of governments trying to shut him up with (quite possibly) false rape accusations, illegal DDoS attacks and major credit-card companies restricting donations to his cause pretty much shows, blank, what a ing joke this democracy is.
People are restricted to be on which side they want to.

That's what motivates me to, if I ever have the opportunity to do it, do it.
Ernest Hemingway once said the world is a fine place and worth fighting for. Well, he was definitely wrong about the first part (reason why he ended up shooting himself), but that doesn't mean we should recoil in fear because the less scrupulous amongst us tend to be on top and life isn't a Hollywood family flick where the good guy suddenly changes the world with nothing but goodwill. And, in the end, the best we do will be nothing but a small step... but a step forward is better than not moving at all. |
