heheh im not going to get into it here bc its way too off topic (kinda) but its kind of a running "joke" for me now here on TA
I saw him 5 times in just over 12 months. Each show I travelled to- one being Pier 54. He sucked. His mixing was sub-par and had many many mistakes...His track choices seemed completely off the wall. He had no attention to the audience and even looked like he was passing out at one point at one show. Another he walked away from the decks for TWO songs. Yes. that means the second song was not mixed in- or wait...it was....so whats that?
bottom line...something I always end my rants with- to be fair i WILL go to see him again sometime (hopefully soon) bc for everyone to love him SO much something must be good. 5 shows in 12 months though- he sucked. ask anyone.
imo ATB and PvD are not comparable- where is your basis on this comment??? |

well not everyone needs to like the same music so just because alot of others like pvd doesnt mean you will. if youve thought he sucked every time youve ever seen him, it might be a waste of your time to bother seeing him again. his set at pier 54 was okay, but not great. its just annoying and immature to bash DJs in event threads. and are you rly serious that ATB is a good DJ? i cant tell if youre being serious or not |

never considered ATB to be a dj tbh, but i guess some people like him playing his own stuff for 10 years and nothing else.
pvd uses ableton (or maybe traktor pro now) so its not unusual for him to step away. the main reason i see him is a variety of tracks in the set, which he pretty much throws in last second. i don't really care if he is paying attention to the audience because i don't think he ever has or will and that doesn't influence his set anyway. he knows what he is doing and has an ear for where EDM is going next.
luckily, he doesn't play cheesy pop like andre. |
