I work as a sys admin. and work with a bunch of people who either love to hear themselves talk or are masters at being slackers. Some of these ppl are extremely fake and just love talking about everyone elses work habits - meanwhile Im sure they do the same about me when Im not around. My Boss works from home 3 days a week and I have 3 Team leads for a group of 5 ppl. Yesterday my boss said that no one can work from home- meanwhile 3 ppl were working from home. I am better off keeping my head down and just working and listening to music.
I have a person in my group who never shuts up- and asks you a question only to answer it himself.
He has a man crush on another guy who swears he is super intelligent and they go back and forth on the most mundane topics.
My team leads like to spend the day staring at a fish tank with a mantis shrimp in it while I work right next to them.
My group feels like a bunch of independent contractors- and you know what its perfect with me since i would never associate with these people outside of work. Thankfully I have full internet rights. I posted this in another topic but just as an example- my team lead found out I like Techno and said he has the Mortal Kombat song since I like techno- douchebags 2.0. Ahhhh that feels better thanks for listening. |
