My one speaker seems to be emitting a constant high pitched frequency out of it... Not sure if anyone else has had an issue like this with their monitors... its not effecting my productions or the sound of the monitors (At least that I can tell), but it does happen to be really annoying. Anyone else have a problem like this or know a good solution to fix it?

try balanced cables. what soundcard do you have? put your powerchords to the monitors on a different outlet than your computer. keep audio and power cables separated, and un-folded (straight like, not like a coil). ive had alot of problems with this with my home made old computer and unbalanced cables. it was all solved when going to balanced cables from my soundcard.

Palm is right - first try balanced cables and do differnt paths fo travel for both power and audio. If the must cross, at least do it at 90 degrees to each other.

However, a small number of the very early production batch of LSR 2325p had an issues with one of the components and that can result in an earth hum. It actually happened to me nearly straight out of the box so I took that one back and they've been flawless ever since.

It could be this but it's doesn't present as a high pitched sound - it would be a harsh buzzing sound.

I would fist check the get balanced cables, make sure no power is running along the audio lines, then if that doesn't work, take it back. JBL know about this issue and you can just call them to arrange an immediate swap out from where you bought them.

you can also try to alternate the speakers (leaving the cables) and see whether the problem stays in the same speaker or if it moves over to the other speaker (ie stays at the same position, ie Left) and then being the sources doing it (powerchords, signalchords). you can also try a different source like a CD-player and see if it stays the same. check also if you cables are inserted proper.

Well my cables are coiled.... so maybe thats the issue? I am running them with a EMU-0202 audio interface. Ive changed the cables and what not and moved the speakers so its still coming out of the same speaker. Its not necessarily like an overbearing sound, but it is present enough to cause my ears to bleed. Ill do a little more testing around and see what I can come up with. They werent like this when I first bought them, like 2-3 months ago.

is the noise there when the source is disconnected? in that case its the speaker. take it back.

from my experience, upgrading to balanced connectors did a difference, the rca I had, were a piece of .
