To the original poster: NYC is huge: what type of crowd are you looking for? Sports bar? Hispter? Lounge-y? Club? Gay? Irish/regular bar? Table service/models? Low-key versus massive celebrations?
This should narrow it down massively and we can answer your questions better.
Cielo IS a great small club for your age range request, typically plays house/techno and $50 is really decent for the meatpacking on NYE!! ;) I <3 Cielo :) :) |

God yes. I'd go just for Pan-Pot alone and let any of my friends with ty taste of music figure NYE out for their own. :whip:
That being said, I'm staying far away of the bull that is NYE in NYC and going upstate for a house party with ty music and lots of booze. But I'd definitely recommend Cielo as the best and probably only club I'd bring my non-EDM friends to. I've brought all types of my friends and family there and if they're not fun haters they always have a great time and $50 is a NYE steal. It costs more to go to my local dive bar on NYE. |

I love Cielo, and that will be a really fun party, but he should know that beers are like $8 and something like a Maker's & Coke is $13. They'd better not be heavy drinkers if their budget is only $100.
Honestly, on NYE, I don't know how they're realistically going to keep to $100 a person, especially if they need cabs, etc. |

Not on NYE but went to twice to see AnB. Unfortunately i didn't encounter anything like that except for massive flooding.

It's fair to say that $100 is barely enough just for drinks not including cabs,food,etc. You're probably better off staying at your own home or a hotel room if you want to save money. NYE is not the night for that...You should definitely buy your open bar party ticket and decide now before the prices goes up any further. |
