Jay Hamilton
Hello friends,

My name is Jay Hamilton. I've been DJing in Canada for about 18 years (primarily in Halifax) and I'm now based in Toronto. I recently entered a vote based remix competition to win a gig at the BPM Festival in Mexico this year and I'm very VERY close!

I'm in 2nd place, trailing by about 30 votes right now, up against a guy named Matveig from Ecuador who is in 1st place. I would love to be able to win this competition. It means a lot to me. :)

It only takes a minute of your time, you can sign in with your Facebook account at the following link:

You can vote two ways at the link provided above:

1) Through your Facebook account - on a daily basis
2) Through your email by inviting friends to vote - only once

Please please PLEASE vote every day till the 18th, so that I can secure first place and get the opportunity of the lifetime.

I thank all of you that have already been voting, and for those of you who haven't yet, there is still a chance for you to really help out!

Peaz + ♥

Why would I vote for you?

For the last 18 years I've put my blood sweat and tears into this. Never asked for much and never made any money at it. I've always been of the opinion that I should let the music speak for itself. Please take a listen to the track I remixed for the comp (Larry Stylez I I like my Bass Phat), and listen to the others, and vote for whoever you think deserves your vote.

I am pretty new to production so this remix probably took me 20 to 30 hours.

The guy in the lead basically took "Proff - My Personal Summer" and added the spoken word vocal from "Wilson Santos - Present Judgements and Misconceptions" and laid it on top. Could've been done in Logic or Ableton in 5 mins flat.

I have a ton of mixes I can send you too. What kind of music are you into?

Thanks,

Jay
