In The Netherlands aren't cities with a million people. Amsterdam is the biggest city with 750.000 people. In The Netherlands there live totally 16 million people. |

ye, we dont all have as much space as the americans :p:)
as for all the clubs shutting down.. wont happen. if the trance scene in the US is even nearly respectable then it will the authorities and do it anyway..
trancers have this urge to go out and party, there isnt a law on the planet that will stop this :) |

Trying to put a ban on the drugs themselves, and where the drugs are supposedly won't do . Prohibition proved that. During prohobition, alcoholism sky rocketed. In theory, the same will happen here. The number of now, 'underground' raves where very bad little people are taking these very bad little things will probably sky rocket as well.
And if anything, there is no more constitution. The new anti terrorism bill that makes John Ashcroft the head of the ing country is proof of that. Almost every part of the constitution is violated in that, yet it was passed so we could feel safe. You know how I feel safe? When I'm baked as , 'cause then I really don't give a about some Saudi guy who has problems. I'll give a about what's to eat, not that bin Laden.
So in conclusion: American trancers/ravers/party goers, say goodbye to freedom. Say hello to a new year. '1984' that is. |

| the ony way they can do this is if they ban ALL music events.. including bars, concerts, clubs,...etc.. but i highly doubt that will happen.... i dont give a about thos stupid warehouse raves... but dont take the clubs =) |

| even if they did ban the raves (which will never pass, and if it does then you can expect a billion pissed of ravers storming the whitehouse throwing a rave on the lawn :) ) raves would still exist I mean come on that would just breath new life to a scene that is less "connected" than it used to be. liek we would just go more underground and form tighter groups making raves more involving and prolly start a whole new wave of rave life, so i say hell go for it ban raves. |

Exactly. The bill states that places where 'repetitive beats' are played will be banned. But a repetitive beat is called, 'music'. So therefore, everything that has to do with music, the opera, the symphony, concerts, bars, kareoke bars, raves, clubs, dance halls, music stores, my stereo, Best Buy, Sam Goody, everything that plays music suddenly becomes a rave. The bill itself is very stupid, and probably WILL get passed. The goverment thinks they know what is good for us, but as was proved in the 20's, they don't know jack . |

the us government needs to get their priorities straight
people who do drugs aren't only electronic music heads
.... they shall ban ... and rebellion will follow
oh and what about solving the problem ( drugs that is ) instead of killing one of the actors ( raves or clubs ) |

| They tried to pull this 'repetitive beats' trick in the U.K. years ago and it didn't work so don't worry about it. |

| in my opinion, it will never happen. passing that law about raves...maybe. either way, people will always get around the system. the u.s. is way behind on this "drug war" that they have been fighting for how many years now? |

| People need to take drugs to make Celine Dion music sound slightly decent. It would have to be a load of drugs though. |

| bleh this is just slander...dirty the culture cuz society doesnt want the growth of the "modern hippie" thats why they slap this bill and ban this event all in hopes of banishing the drug war. impossible i say. main focus - quality of life. everyone wants to live long and prosperous. i agree but thats the decision of an individual. you choose your path in life, whether it be drugs or not its your path. so lets all live life the way we want to and stop trying to put that protective covering on everyone. the anti-rave bill will never succeed. long live music and our culture! |
