Mystery, tbh I've never been too impressed by Gielen. I'm more fan of Sven Maes.

Do a pic of him pointing the finger and i'll believe you whatever you say.

Cmon don't go with these obvious answers.

When I create a saw it sounds nothing like this. I want the identical sound. Not just some other regular saw sound. There's tons of saw-sound tracks, but nothing (recent) that sounds like S&G.

Hahaha.

Timbres are not magic.

Even if you put in the same riff into your song, it wouldn't have that pop. It comes down to the song writing/mixing...

Omnisphere has JP waveforms if you really need it that badly.

has some white noise in there for sure

and the preset without fx will sound a lot different than with fx

id suggest getting your basic super say, boosting the hight, adding lots of reverb, delay chorus, etc

from what ive heard there is no "signature S&G sound", just supersaws on top of supersaws..

Sounds pretty close to Beauty of Silence, maybe not quite the way he has EQed it though...
Rodri Santos
what you've to do is first of all get the exact melody because if you think they are playing single notes and they're playing a chord you'll never get the sound.

I am getting closer to Jochen Miller and W&W sound but it's giving me some headaches, be patient.

Couldn't find any, but I learned it's not a good idea to search for "svenson" in google images with the safe search off :nervous:

Yeah..... and thats because you aren't using a JP8000 / 8080. It's never going to sound exact as that sound is specific to the JP's chipset / oscillators. The closest you will get to it would be another Roland with the supersaw osc like the SH-201 if you don't have or want a JP.

Then as Luke T said, there will be EQ colours added too, and potentially other outboard effects.

Get as close as you can and settle for it, I've tried replicating sounds before - specifically the smooth Underworld pads - and never managed it due to not have the source synth. This is why I'm out to get a Juno 106.

yeah maybe you're right.

The synth1 free vst has a quite alright supersaw sound. Maybe I can get something out of it.

Youtube, Rank 1 Airwave / Awakening leads.

Have you played around with Nexus 2? Also they are chords and you will have to hunt them down on the net. It would be great to find a genuine midi file of the tracks you want then run them via Nexus, but the perfect scenario is to get the hardware synth the guys here honestly know what they are talking about. I even want one of the Jp's now!! Good luck!
