He's funny like a clown, without actually being a clown. He's never threatened anyone on the board, doesn't insult people unless significantly pushed, and he generally keeps to his own threads. While he does occasionally violate the TOS, he's responsive to correction. He who shall not be named (w)_(ashley) was a far more pernicious influence, disrupting threads, not just in the COR, where it's expected, but also polluting Music Producer's Promotion with incessant music (actually much worse than goodtime) and occasionally popping off with stupid in the MP Studio. He hasn't done Music Discussion any favors, either.
The moderators have taken a very hands off approach with all of their decisions and that policy does have its merit, particularly in promoting some rather open discussion that might be frowned on in other forums. That tendency has managed to create a situation where TA, for the most parts, polices itself.
Most people who come here, who would make trouble, are chased off somewhat easily or simply tricked into violating the TOS so terribly that their suspension is enough time (to consider that no one really liked them, anyways) away to get side-tracked into other ventures. HWSNBN (********) and goodtime, however, are more persistent.
They are getting enough of what they want here that the typical self-correcting measures any self-respecting iTard would be motivated to either conform or gtfo with, simply do not work. That, combined with a lax ban-hammer and the fact that both users generate a metric ton of page views along with their ability to troll content from other users and there's simply not sufficient cause to ban them, outright.
wash_out had to basically crank it up to 11 in order to get banned. TBH, that was one of the reasons I kept after him the way that I did. He had such a bad reaction to criticism of any kind but he never, ever failed to post something ultimately easy as well as justifiable to criticize. His reaction was so riddled with clear errors couched in outright delusion, persecutory or otherwise, that any thread he posted in became derailed with an incessant, snarling dog pile.
Eventually, Mr. Ashley popped under the constant duress of being a total head and an inability to take what he could dish out. You may have been here his final days before his user-name was forever banned. He was threatening to sue the forum and report me, among others, to the FBI for harassment. It was an epic melt-down.
In answer to your question, goodtime just doesn't pose as much of a threat to the cohesion of the forum as ******** did. And it's not as though either doesn't pose a problem to the moderators or admins. I'm almost positive (without having seen them) that there is a sub-forum's worth of content in the PM's from users to moderators who have had a problem with both and want them ejected.
There's even been discussion about the private moderating forum's threads about ******** and I see no reason why goodtime isn't also a topic of concerned discussion there, as well. Personally, unless someone has rock-solid information that the goodtime persona is just a clever hoax (which it would be if it were a hoax) perpetrated in collaboration with the forum's moderators, I'm on the side that would have him banned, outright.
There are far too many indicators that he has some rather pathological psychological issues. If what's being said about him on YouTube is true - that he's using his videos as a platform in order to stalk an under-aged girl (let alone anyone) than he's using TA in order to garner attention for it and that, potentially, could be advancing his pathological behavior while everyone here regards him as a form of comic relief. If he actually is the garden variety erotomaniac, he either can't detect the sarcasm and derision for what it is or is interpreting any feedback he does get for his posts as validation for his ongoing delusions. |

Even my short clip from my upcoming track 'Just Leave' is on a level far above most musicians in music, let alone your average trance hack. so sorry, but try again.
