police officers are human too. at least he was off duty. if he was on duty then i would be worried. thousands of other citizens get charged with this offence every year as well.

When's the last time anyone was pulled over and treated as an equal???

Most cops have a superiority complex because they are law enforcers...

And if they they are going to be that way, they should NEVER break any law in the least...

im pretty sure that our tax dollars train them to be cops and know which side of the law they're on WHEN THEY ARE ON DUTY. when off-duty they are just citizens.

No dude!!!

They are never just citizens!!!

They swear an oath to uphold the law on or off duty. They carry tin everywhere they go...

What, Bill Blair hasn't stepped in and defended this guy yet?!

shocked.

Maybe the tax dollar thing wasn't the main point to be made?

Yes, the officer in question is a human just like you and I, however, Police are suppose to be a model to society, cleaning up the unlawful and protecting the public, none of which happened with this occurance.

Very hypocritcal to get charged for drinking and driving IMO.

Most cops are uneducated swine.

Not all but most end up abusing there minimal power, how many times have I seen/heard cops exchange their phone numbers with a female civilian to let them go, I even seen a 2 cops pull over a car of obviously drunk females including the driver, only to exchange numbers and actually ask what they were doing tomorrow nite.

If he's off duty our tax dollars aren't affected, it's too bad the pole didn't collapse and rub him out.

Detectives, special units, rcmp, csis and beyond I have respect for, but these street cops...really? 1 year at community college and you get a badge and a gun, imo that's the only thing they have up on a rent-a-cop....

coles notes version - the police.

I think the amazing part of this story is that he was actually charged.

Think how many are let go based on the badge.

Clubland, this happens like all the time between 2-4...I was waiting for my sister to get home years ago, cop followed the car all the way into the driveway...and I've heard and even been around girl friends when a cop who traded freedom for a number had been calling and texting to hook up.

Really it's retarded on all accounts letting someone say who is over the limit off, breaking the law to barter for (prostitution? tickets have a monetary value)...and 9/10 then the cop is denied snatch, what's he going to do? reissue the ticket? call the cops?

Beat cops are really, just ing bottom barrel losers. Not all , but ALot.
