Due to unfortunate VISA circumstances, Alan Fitzpatrick's upcoming US tour has had to be postponed. But in Alan's place on the decks at the Sullivan room this Saturday will be Alan's 8 Sided Dice label mate and esteemed Brooklyn techno pioneer GENNARO LE FOSSE. It will be a night of dark and driving techno – not to be missed.
A note from ALAN FITZPATRICK: "It is with deep regret that I have been forced to cancel my forthcoming North American tour. Unfortunately, unexpected visa issues have meant that I will not be able to make the trip. I was really looking forward to coming to play at Basic and to meeting everyone who has said they were planning to come and see me play. I'm looking forward to arranging a new date as soon as possible."

Well guys....imagine that you're spending a week in sunny Mexico at the BPM, relaxing by the pool every day, and just as you're getting ready to return to this frozen icecube of a city, you get an email telling you that Alan can't come to NYC. So nothing will top our disappointment!! :(

Seriously though - if you don't know Gennaro (aka Gene), you are going to love him. He is one of Brooklyn's original techno pioneers and his music is right up there with Alan. He's released on 8 Sided Dice and has a bunch of other big records coming up. He is definitely going to drop the hammer this Saturday.
ANNND....Alan's management is sending us an exclusive live mix that he has recorded JUST for us at Basic NYC as a consolation. We'll be giving free copies out this Saturday at Sullivan Room.
We're working on a new date for Alan so hope to have everything sorted out soon.
