Graham, when you said that he 'murdered it' last time he was here, it must've been the perfect choice of words because that's exactly what he did last night... Completely murdered it. _
I had so much fun dancing to some really meaty grooves. His set had such great momentum to it. Total quality. Robag delivers. Jamie also threw down some stormers. Just banging tunes with the scariest kicks ever! _
I thought the crowd was amazing too. Lots of friendly people, it was great to strike up a conversation and meet new people + catch up with others _
I think the only thing I can complain about is the bathroom situation. Lineups were pretty long most of the night.
I had a boatload of fun, can't wait for the next one!
Oh and one more thing... I loved the venue, and staff was friendly!

I had a fantastic time at my first BoK party.
Robag was just as I had been told he would be. Unexpected randomness. The music was so much fun from the moment I walked in the door to Jamie's banging tunes - the momentum when Robag came on just carried through the evening in his own special way. Michael Jackson just dropped into the set was a treat. The music was so fresh and it was good to hear something different in Toronto again. I would definately make the time to see him play again.
Fun Times!
The venue was such a nice change... Very open, no congestion (except trying to get in past the entrance of the Social, that was kind of chaotic), and the bathroom situation as Mikey mentioned previously.
I would love to hear Robag at Old Miami in Detroit.

Robag's last 40 minutes are what I had anticipated the most.. Damn.. Unfortunately the party was cut short at 3:30.. I would of loved another 2 hours or so from this guy. Wasn't expecting to hear False - Fed On Youth, but the way he layered it in with a more stripped down - down tempo track was an art form. Loved the venue! I hope BOK decides to throw some more jams here. Meow... haha @ the box of kittens lighting
Edit: Wow I must of been totally trashed because I just realized the tune was actually False - Fed On Youth! lol

fun night out!
i missed jamie kidd but came right in the midst of mike gibbs' laying down some dark (think liebing) techno in the last 15-20 min.
robag played a style of techno i haven't heard in toronto in a while (if ever?) and i thoroughly enjoyed his set. he would venture from melodic techno, to chunky/raw/stripped down techno, even some trippier psy-techno-trance. it was all pieced together well with his seemingless mixing. got to hear robag play his song Dopamin which was AWESOME!! those fat basslines remind me of Mr Oizo - Flatbeat.
this party was held at a near perfect venue. the art gallery had nice hardwood floor to dance on and was a great size for the # in attendance.
this would be the closest to a milkrun type party that i could describe it as (i've never attended one but assuming based on venue/atmosphere/organized/marketing?)
the soundsystem was awesome for a first time venue which means a lot of tweaking happened right before the show. i liked that. the percussion, highs were nice and really crisp sounding and the lows made the room give off a nice bellow
robag's fresh sleazy sound coupled with a a more adventurous/neat/unique venue change made my experience 100x more memorable.
