nice post...
it's interesting to note that the biggest musical acts aren't musically relevant at all LOL the big tours are for the senior citizens, that's where the cash is... |

Look at the amount of show's and then compare the box office...

Only U2, Bon Jovi and Black Eyed Peas sold out all of their shows.
It is crazy how much money can be made.
I would be curious to know how much the U2 show cost to put on. I think it took something like 82 big rigs to haul all their stuff. |

When your average ticket price is around $100.00 you can make a lot of money. |

I definitely couldn't sit through an entire concert.
It really has to be hard for him to put together a song list for concerts. To make sure you have enough of the oldies mixed with the new songs and then to decide which oldies to leave out. |

I did sit through an entire Bon Jovi concert 2 summers ago (?), at Bayfest in Sarnia. And it SUCKED. And tickets weren't cheap either, they were around $80 I believe. I thought he would play WAY more oldies than he did. 90% of what he played was new Country , which I hate with a passion. I hadn't even heard most of the songs before. I think he only played 3 oldies in total, and they weren't even any of the ones I would have chosen. I really regretted going to that concert. lol |
