| There have been a lot of studies done in the industry about this, folks. I can tell you as a Subject Matter Expert that we really don't know how the it happens and there is no rock solid scientific explanation. There are some very interesting theories and some even more interesting/frightening data out there but I'm legally bound and cannot say much more than that. |

This is why I usually just ask for socks from people who don't know what to give me for christmas. I like having lots of socks cause I usually change out of them often (if I step in something slightly wet, or they are too dirty from going into the basement or or outside in the summer).

When I was living in the barracks I had all of my whites stolen from the dryer. Almost all my socks, and white shirts.

I don't think the dryer had the balls to steal all of that. A human has to be involved, but I guess we'll never know. |

| my dog ultimately profits from this... i take the mismatched socks and tie them into a large sock knot and give it to her as a toy. it sounds lame but she loves to lie down and rip the knots out of those socks..:gsmile: |
