Lexiconavenue,

How do you like your Behringer Truths? I'm generally happy with mine, they certainly indicate when you've got a painfully shrill sound in ur track. Although, I'm starting to think that they overemphasize shrill sounds and that I'm cutting out too much of the highs. What do you think?

i havent experienced what you're talking about, unless you mean when they clip. try to lower the affected frequency a bit...what software do you use? try a demo :D of wavelab 4.0 and use their frequency spectrum analyzer. it will show where the clip is occuring, and you can eq from there.

and yes, i love the monitors...they're are excellent for the budget studio

Dj chrono i c the waldorf q in your dream studio, i have the waldorf micro q since satherday, my best synth ever, man, just in the presets there is the lead sound of out of the blue and punk, it's ferry's favourite synth. it can make very complicated sounds, a VERY good arpegiator, v2.14 has reverb in it. it has 3 osc's fm on osc's and filters, wavetable synthesis, ... recommended to everybody (no i am not a sales man of waldorf company :gsmile: ) -note, don't go for the waldorf if you want absolute analogue warmth, i use my an1x for analogue warmth-

My dream setup would be like this :
yamaha an1x (much, much underrated synth)
waldorf q +
virus c
jp 8000
novation k - station
xv 5080 for s&s sounds

soundcraft mixing console,
and a mac running logic audio 5.x

some lexicon, yamaha and alesis effect boxes

let's get back to reality for a minute. :nervous: sure it's nice to have Access Virus or Novation Supernova, but for a newbie with no income, how to emulate the dream setups you guys suggested with software? e.g. Pro52 for Prophet 5, B4 for Hammond B3, and Dr-008 for a real drum machine, to name a few? :nervous: and which equipments (aside from a computer) are essential, that you can't make music without and cannot be emulated by software? :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:
