Sunset Promotions & Brown Alley Presents Gareth Emery [UK]

Exclusive Extended SET from the Worlds Number 7 Dj

Brown Alley - Saturday Feb 12

To say Gareth Emery has had a good year would be a vast understatement. Over the past twelve months, the popularity and buzz surrounding the young Brit reached explosive proportions, culminating in him being voted no.7 in 2010’s definitive DJ Mag Top 100 poll making him the UKs highest ranked DJ and one of only a handful of DJs to crack the world’s top ten before the age of 30.

He released his debut artist album ‘Northern Lights’ on his own label Garuda to stunning reactions from fans and critics alike, hitting no.1 on the US iTunes dance chart within hours of release.

He also celebrated 100 episodes and four years of his award winning podcast, collaborated with Above & Beyond for the crossover international radio hit ‘On A Good Day (Metropolis)’, and penned the theme tune to the Global Gathering festival - whilst also finding time to play 130 shows, selling out clubs and rocking festivals in 40 countries to over 2 million people, and not to mention his recent collaboration with Lucy Sanders with the hit Sanctuary. Dubbed as the biggest Trance release of 2010

These days, his records (which are composed, produced, and engineered entirely by him), span the worlds of trance, progressive, electro, techno, and a few other places. Languid, spacey grooves, juddering baselines and original melodies that take your breath away mean that it’s a given that Armin, Tiesto, Oakenfold, and Judge Jules have all been fully paid-up members of the Emery fan club for years. But more importantly, he’s firmly established as one of those rare producers who values quality over quantity, preferring to make five amazing records in a year then twenty average ones, and even happily refusing to release a track if it doesn’t feel “just right”, to the occasional frustration of his fans. It’s this uncompromising attitude, that drive for something unattainably perfect that has made him one of the most sought-after producers and remixers on the planet.

But if there’s one place where he’s even more at home than in his studio, it’s behind the decks, where he’s morphed into the consummate superstar DJ, unequivocally demolishing dance floors the world over. From global super clubs like Zouk in Singapore and Government in Toronto, to epic festivals like Global Gathering, Trance Energy and Dance Valley, to the mega-brands like Ministry of Sound and Godskitchen, the utterly unique, instantly recognizable Emery sound continues to pack out more clubs, in more places across the world, than ever before.

Sound quality will be FIRST RATE. The main room will be beefed up with extra sound, plasma rigs, lighting and lasers you have come to expect from Brown Alley parties. Expect nothing less than a show to remember with Gareth Emery leading the way!

Spewing.. might not be anymore. Unless I can get really cheap tickets/freebies I might not make it. CC maxed out and putting every last cent into my house deposit.

really gutted as well because Emery is one of the only people I've really been impressed with over the last few years :S
