Jack Moss - Winter Mixtape 2010 [Many Things]

This was originally made as a guest entry into a mixtape community some of my friends run. It was made to fit onto a 90 minute tape, and I enjoyed working in the framework of two 45-minute mini-sets. The two sides are a little different, both in mood and technique. The first is more of a conventionally mixed set and the second is more of a traditional mix-tape with little technical DJing.

There are a lot of different styles used: hip-hop, dubstep, techno, progressive, drum 'n bass, ambient and so on. The guys who it was made for aren't particularly knowledgeable about electronic music, which is why I've used some very big and obvious tracks.

As ever, feedback more than welcome, whether it's positive, negative or apathetic.

Awesome.

Do you want a host for these, or are they already up on whatever 'beatplexity' is?
SYSTEM-J
Beatplexity is a pretty permanent location for them, so don't feel obliged. Cheers anyway.

Just finished the first side, and I rather liked it. Good flow, covered a good range of genres without any of the mixes sounding too jarring. Excellent closing track. I'll listen to the second part later.

i'm gonna download this! not the genre i listen to too often, i'm excited :)

I think there's something here for just about everyone. It's a mood mix, not a genre mix.

Nice sets, Jack. They both flowed mighty nicely and the mixing was solid in each of them. Nothing really mindblowing or outstanding, but I found myself enjoying the second set the most. Thanks for the music.

SYSTEM-J
Glad you enjoyed them. This is quite a low key project, but I must say I'm a little disappointed by the lack of interest from TA.

Eh, don't worry about it. It's the holiday season, things will pick back up in the new year.
