Paul's set @ Space Miami for WMC this year was amazing! He probably doesn't come to LA much since everyone bitches about him...lol
I can only say that PVD in a good club > PVD at a Massive. I think the Palladium would be a great venue if the sound is up to his high standards! :D |

I think PVD at The Mayan woud be amazing! There's something about The Mayan that pretty much every DJ I've seen there has been magical. PVD is no exception.

There were times when Paul used to play straight trance, but his best sets IMO where when he used to mix the whole spectrum. He would mix everything from house (really sped up), to breaks, to trance, to techno in one set. Those sets were fun!
I still remember one time he played at The Mayan and everyone was jumping so hard that the floor was wobbling. I thought we were all gonna fall down into the basement. |

| just finished listening to the set and i don't think i've heard anything like that before. it was pretty damn awesome, kind of a shame that you can't find DJ's that play music like that anymore. |

The thing with PvD is he used to always look so serious behind the decks. And he was amazing
It's funny because then he started to be a lot more animated behind the decks, seems like he was having a lot more fun. It's also when his sets started going to hell because he was trying to do all kinds of stuff in his sets and it started sounding both a bit sloppy and the programming just started becoming whack. So I think he was having more fun behind the decks, maybe because he was trying to do new things, but his sets have suffered because of it
I miss the old PvD. |
