Ouch ya I heard. I was actually going to bump this thread to tell everyone to get there early because the place was PACKED already like at 9pm already.
But I was driving and I was busy and forgot to do so.
Sucks that they had the pool area closed, but they DID have the 3rd level open for the entrance as well though. |

Ok here's my experience:
I'll spare an event review but kaskade was sick! Marquee is an awesome club. it was packed as at 1 am when kaskade started playing but 30-45 mins later people started leaving and then it got a lot better. they had closed off the main floor but at around 3 I was able to get out there. Before 3 we danced behind the main floor - you could still kinda see kaskade and the visuals/dancers but it wasn't as tight as being on the main floor.
as far as getting in: got there at midnight, had to wait in a line for about 45 minutes to pick up our tickets. they had one chick with a paper list crossing off names with a pen. genius.
after we got our tickets though it was right up to the 3rd floor, absolutely no line, walked right in to see Kaskade take the stage. It was perfect.
My girl got free waters all night - cup of ice water. Got a beer later for 10$. Dunno how much cocktails were but I would guess hollywood/vegas prices of like 12-16.
The club setup isn't great (small dancefloor) but once it thins out it's really fun. great sound, great visuals, dancers reminded me of ibiza little bit... definitely coming back!
If you plan on going, don't bea cheap. Just buy tickets, stand in line for 30 min, and have a good time. |
