| What are your 2011 predictions? The only prediction I'm qualified to make would be to predict continued economic problems for Europe. Greece and Ireland have already gotten pounded and could get more of it. But I feel like Spain is next in line, and Spain is bigger than both Greece and Ireland combined, by several times. I bought a put option against a Spanish bank so while I wouldn't want anything bad happening to the average Spaniard, I am betting against Spain. Sorry Spain :( |

- The world will not end;
- Extremists will blow themselves up (or, if they're smart, they'll set up an explosive device and run for their lives), giving bigots the perfect chance to keep blaming billions of people for the behaviour of a few dozen individuals;
- Pessimists will say the world is worse, optimists will say we're doing better;
- Something messed up will happen in Florida. Will definitely combine sex and violence.

1. Obama's ratings will go up.
2. Gays will still not have federal legal marriage rights in the U.S.
3. An important Republican will die of old age.
4. Israel and Palestine will not go anywhere compared to where they are now.
5. North Korea will accept concessions in exchange for being docile.
6. Muslim radicals will freak out over something that the West considers benign.
7. Lady Ga Ga will come out with new #1 singles which will top the charts in multiple countries.
8. Ke$ha will not do so good.
9. Some American black rapper will finally have the audacity to say, "hey why are we rapping to crappy house music guys?"
10. Microsoft will come out with something new in a failed attempt to compete with Apple.
11. I will not catch AIDS. (keeps fingers crossed) |
