Ever wonder if your life had been any different? (pg. 2)

I'm generally of the opinion that most outcomes in our lives are determined by our own actions and decisions, which just makes it doubly frustrating when it isn't the case.

Due to my health issues, I do wonder a lot what things would be like had I not been ill for most of the time. But at the same time, it was being ill that made my path and i've got to accept it & see where it goes, and I've met some good people who I probably never would have if not.

Some more questions to add to Jori's list

What if arturob really died?
what if tta went to specsavers?
What if Del had brought us ta 2.0 but then stalled on 3.0?
what if Chlola wasn't a split-personality attentionwhore?
What if Fledz was Bosnian, not Croat?

Of all of these this would be the easiest transition if any.

I confess sometimes I ponder what it would be like if I had a full head of hair...

90% of the time that's true. Anger, depression, despair directed at any portion of the ratio (90:10), apart from functioning as that reminder not to touch the glowing, red stove burner, is utterly useless.

My life would be vastly different, I think, had my dad not been killed when I was 14. Different, but not better. I would have had many things a lot easier, and done a lot "better" earlier on - but I wouldn't give up any of my life now for that. I've always felt genuinely happy and have done what is true to myself. I don't think I would if my dad was still an influence in my life.

I've been spending most of the last fortnight being an emo bitch and thinking fate has ed me over. Sometimes in life you can do everything right and the outcome is still outside your control.

So it's fair to say I've been wondering what might have been.

Dude, you are like 23 years old, there is a lot of baseball left in you. Always remember....there is no I in team but there is a U in cunt.:p

Rarely are we where we want to be when we are 23 simply because around that age our expectations tend to be above average because we don't know any better. You will see that with a few more years under your belt, things like salary and quality of life will come on their own. You are a very smart guy, you have a degree if i'm not mistaken, so life will take care of itself so long as you have a bit of drive. 23 to 30 goes by like lightening, the quality of life tends to improve pretty quickly and accordingly so long as you don't sit on your ass.

I have the same suspicions about my mother's influence in my life, if she were still around, today. I honestly don't think I would be happier than I am, now, were she to still be around.

Here we are, sitting in the brush with a small team of National Geographic photographers... hunkered down, trying not to move an inch for fear of scaring off what lays before us... a rare occasion, certainly never filmed before... I never dreamed I would be the first to see it with my own eyes, yet the premise is set... just waiting now... the tension is palpable... he's moving in... we are frozen with anticipation... here it comes... aaaand... THERE IT IS!!! JAY BEING SUPPORTIVE!!! OH MY LORD I NEVER THOUGHT IT'D HAPPEN, YET THE CAMERA DOESN'T LIE... IT REALLY HAPPENED!!! I'M PHONING MY WIFE!!! THANK YOU LORD!!!

God, I truly dread the thought. I honestly remember thinking, after I'd gotten over the shock and grief, that my life was now full of so many possibilities.
