I'm an avid trance fan, and have been for well over a year now, but recently I have been turned towards House music, but only a certain type. However I don't know what that type is called!
Here are some examples:
It's a well known genre for sure, but I don't know the precise name for it!
I tried looking in Beatport under "House" "Tech House" and "Prog House" but I ended up with this stupid boring boogie crap which I hate in the same general genre as these songs above but with 20000 tracks in the listings, I don't have time to go through them all. I'm just wondering what this sub-genre is called, and do you have any artists, labels or websites where I can hear loads more of these? :D
Ya, those tracks yo posted might be categorized under progressive house on beatport. But that genre is pretty darn vast by now. You could be sorting though a huge range of sounds. I found the stuff you posted to be a bit more top 40 clubby sounding, not saying thats bad, it just reminds me of something I'd hear on the weekends in my town, when all the tourists come to town and they play more mainstream music.... Didn't think I had any but I think this one fit in pretty well...

Thanks for the replies guys, everything seems to progressive house these days. From Pendulum, to Avicii, to Axwell. There's really no definition of house anymore. :eyespop:
It seems I have an addiction to house music with a piano sound in it, so I can shorten it down to Progressive Electro Piano House I suppose :)
The music you guys posted is very cool, but not exactly what I'm looking for if I'm to be very fussy, but still thanks for the links, I love Jerome Isma-Ae and Ian Carey :)
