CPU Problem with Ableton

My computer is 1,5 years old, its still a good computer. However when i play some sounds on my vst such as z3ta or Sylenth, the cpu meter goes to 60-70 %.
For example if i play a sound with 144 voices (i guess its because of this) with no external plugins or anything it goes to 40 %.
What can i do to fix this? :(
I use Ableton 8.1 and i have a multi core processor.
Thanks!

Complex sounds use more CPU. Imo, just deal with it. My comp is about 4 years old with a few upgrades, every time I really get into a track I'm working at about 50% CPU. What you can do is go to the task manager, right click your Live process, and set the CPU priority to High (avoid realtime). If you don't, it starts to be not so smooth when you use a lot of the CPU. Like if I'm using 50%+ and let's say I resize the piano roll window, I get glitches in the sound and a few times have had Live freeze.

144 voices? thats like under and over a humans hearable spectrum! why would you do that? reminds me of robby who used 20 instances for a baseline. its your method, not your gear, which causing you trouble.

wow a 144 voices? sylenth i take it? it's one of the few synths that shows the voice count. really go thru your patch and see what's necessary, internal FX in sylenth are hogs
