Because of the short time you are going, pick countries which are close together and easily accessible from all types of transport. I used the train system a lot in europe and if you get the night trains, you don't need to pay for a nights accommodation. My BF did the same with buses, but i cant be arsed spending 10+ hrs on a bus :stongue:

Trains are a good way to get around; however, don't be too cheap planning your route. I managed to get a round trip from Mannheim to Berlin for 60 Euros, but it was a twenty-three hour trip...
hey nyta here...ill be traveling to europe in the summer as well so figured id jump on the thread for some suggestions as well..
ill be going in june, main purpose for Sonar which is June 16-18. since itll be my first time in europe i figured i might as well take advantage and travel around...taking a 3 week stay so i plan to break that up into 3 countries- a week (give or take) in each country: germany, spain & either france or holland (could use some help picking which one)
the plan so far...land in germany and work my way west..leaving spain for last before coming back to reality. i do plan on staying in hostels & commuting by night train to save on lodging.
right now im researching on which cities to hit up and whatnot...as of now, seems like ill be going alone which im not really too worried about since ima friendly & social individual so meeting ppl wherever i go wont be a problem. altho, i will be meeting a friend and some others at Sonar.
so yea, perhaps id ask here...any suggestions, recommendations, ideas, jokes, etc?? anything would be much appreciated.

Just make sure you keep Berlin on that list. That city is so friggin awesome.
I am of course a bit biased since i live here, but i highly, highly recommend Copenhagen as well :D
