Nice tracklist. Getting this :)

I had a listen and as your first true goa set it was good. Nice selection of tracks, there are a few of my favorites in there.

The mixing was ok as far as goa mixing goes but what I want to stress out here is the flow you've chosen. The first 6 tracks were excellent and they (maybe only Teleport was not very on spot) flowed nicely. Then however. after Maroon the flow was shaky. You was switching between epic goa tunes to more twisted ones. For example, People Can Fly -> Universal Mind, this was very messy transition and also hurting the flow a bit. The thing with goa, in my opinion, is that you can build a tremendous amount of "epicness" with 3 or 4 tunes in a row. You could put instead such transition People Can Fly -> Secret Symbols -> Teleport -> Citrus Circus and it would sound mind blowing (in my ears ofc). :)

Otherwise it was very good. I am glad to see you mixing goa, this is such a good genre to explore! Cheers! :)

Thanks, yes, I understand your criticism perfectly and wondered myself how to keep the flow interesting. I suppose my reasoning for putting People Can Fly at that location was because I wanted sort of a mini-climax in the set before I started putting down the more psychedelic Psychopod, Cosmosis, and Orion tracks. I really was wondering where on earth I was going to put those 3 tracks, and I apologize if it hurt the flow for you. I totally feel the mixing critique too, Goa has these triple kicks and hiccups in the beat that can throw off the beatmatching. I had a similar issue with the transition from Funkadelic to Secret Symbols also.

Thanks for listening, hope it wasn't too bad! :p

Zip I found this mix disappointing.I know it was your first attempt at goa.The first 2 or 3 where ok. But the mixing was not good.with all those great tracks I expected better transitions. As Magadansky said you got some of the flow right. I just did not enjoy it.As i was waiting for the next transition to see if you could get it right!

Old school set is harder to mix than new school.im working on a set which is all old school at the moment.Very difficult to get the order right:)

Looking forward to your next goa Outing!!!

Sorry to hear that. I didn't think the mixing was that bad, I only thought I screwed up like 2 transitions. But to each his own. Thanks for listening anyways.

Zip,im probley just very pickey with the sets i listen to.and for me the mixing plays a huge part of how it feels along with the track selection!! And Goa is pretty much all i listen to:)Are you planing to do another one at some point?

I don't have any plans to make one anytime soon. Who knows, something might inspire me.

Thanks, Justin. Everyone forget about this mix, or did you guys get turned off by the first two reviews? :(

They shouldn't be!

Transitions/flow weren't as good as in your psy mixes, but the tunes you picked out were pretty cool. Glad to see Color Box in the tracklist. Their album was pretty amazing.
Nice mix zip :)

I did listen to about half of this earlier in the week, but I've got a -load of 2010 albums on my "to play" list so I don't know if/when I'll get listening time for 90 minutes of goa.

I did enjoy the first half though, although I'll agree that some of the mixing was a little rough.
