"During the 5days off festival in Amsterdam, the Kindred Spirits Ensemble transformed a couple of Techno and House classics into an orchestral piece.
This clip contains the rework of the everlasting classic: Rhythm is Rhythm - Strings of Life.
For more info check kindred-spirits.nl
The album 'Love Is Supreme' will be out on the 24st of September."

Awesome cover of a timeless tune.
PivotTechno
Francesco Tristano's been covering it for a while now, too.
Full circle = an electronic track that samples the Detroit Philharmonic, now being given orchestral treatment.

i dunno man, i really enjoy seeing electronic (legendary) tunes "come to life" in a way especially when you can see the whole ensemble recreate it and put in their own interpretation as professional musicians. That is beautiful to me.
(unless you mean you enjoy that too, just not this performance.)

yeah I can full appreciate it, and I enjoy seeing the different components "re-work" the arrangement...
Endlesswave
Haven't seen it but I dont' mind these kind of things...
There's one with PvD and the Berlin Philharmonic I think doing FAA.
Dior Homme
When I heard the Soul Central - Strings of Life in ibiza... it was one of the greatest tracks that week.
Right @ Cafe Mambo it was sick just jamming out in the sun!

Francesco Tristano has some serious talent. His new album Idosynkrasia just came out not too long ago. I'm a big fan of electronic music with classical roots myself, so I wouldn't mind sharing some good music of this sort in hope of others doing the same. Here a few artists worth checking out (if you're into this type of music):
- Murcof.. 'Cielo' and 'Una' are two of my fav tunes by him
- Pantha Du Prince.. anything this guy releases is gold
- Moritz von Oswald.. his work with Carl Craig is awesome.. great remixes too
- Matthew Herbert.. he releases a lot of funky spacey electronica, but he's reworked certain classical pieces on his 'Recomposed' release
- UNKLE.. 'Trouble in Paradise' and its remixes
- Aufgang.. chill-out / electro / classical fusion.. some really good remixes too
- Cubenx.. more techno based. Cold Swells EP is mint

another sick one, check this out!

Great to see so many classical musicians experimenting with electronic music.
The Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble is awesome. I love the Lee Jones remix of 'Melancholie II'.
Max Richter is one to keep an eye out for. By far one of the brightest classical musicians of our time imo. Alexander Kostruba's rework of Richter's 'What had they done' is out of this world. It's one of the songs from the 'Waltz with Bashir' soundtrack, a movie based on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Here you go: Alexander Kostruba feat. Max Richter - What had they done by Alexander Kostruba
