pfftt...cold

man, when the sun broke through even pulser took his sweater off...it was perfect temperature....fresh crisp air...

yeah, maybe cloudwalking isn't exactly 6 am morning trance..i'm glad he played alot of epic though
Boy trance
To tell you the truth, I knew he wasn't gonna play 'cloudwalking', I mean how many times have you nonestly heard that tune at a party? If anything I wanted him to play 'Lightwave', I actually even went to the front and yelled it out, but realising my attempt was futile, I just let the man pplay what he was gonna play... :)

And again, cold shmold! It coulda been snowing and I still woulda been out there! :D

There aren't many of us that went unfortunately, but do you think we might be able to manage a tracklist?? :conf:

I am upset I missed it this year, I wanted to see DJ Fuzion and I also wanted to see DJ Bam-Bam again. There were sooooo many DJs I wanted to see, I know I would have ran around untill I passed out. Does anyone know if they are selling CDs from each set like they did last year? Cause I am stuck in Charolette North Carolina where all they care about is NASCAR and dirty south rap. I have gone to the local club scene here and it is quite depressing seeing a bunch of college kiddies who dont have a clue about trance talking smack about DJ Micro and such when he was down here. The biggest thing here is Break beats........... god cant they let it die in peace. Well I am insanely jealous of you all who went to WEMF02, I was at WEMF01 and I was looking foward to 02, 'cause I knew it could only be better than that hassel.

Exactly! The cold didn't stop me. But i think it definetly dropped the energy level down a bit outside. I remember i few times where dr. Trance tried to get the crowd "rowdier". The crowd overall i found was a little less entusiastic that last year.

But anyways, got there on friday at 9pm left sunday at 1pm. Spent a lot of time moving around and making sure i got to check out different rooms. The best moment for me definetly was when Anabolic Frolic proposed to his girlfriend, the crowd went abolutely insane!!

Otherwise Lange and Pulser's sets were amazing even though i wasn't in the dancing state of mind at the time. Sitting under my banket watching the sun rise and the smoke floating out from the smoke machines was absolutely amazing. Definetly one of the coolest experiances I've ever had . Unfortunetly they messed up the sound a few times. But otherwsie they both played great uplifting sets with very little cheese . Yves Deruyter also totally rocked it but as i said before the crowd wasn't very reactive and didn't really get too hyper.

I did run into a few TAs while up there. First of all almost immediatly saw Malice and LiquidChick and crew, wicked company for the weekend! Thanks. Ended up right beside TranceNerd's Tent by total fluke. Hope the foot held up on Saturday night. Was suprised to run into articboy but i don't know if the cold weather chased him away .

And I aslo caught all of Kid Lax's set which was really damn good! Was a great way to spend 2 hours of saturday afternoon. (I was the tall blonde guy with the yellow shirt loungin in the back.) Great uplifting trance! Was too tired to dance that early but hoping that i would hear a lot more of it later that night.

Anyways great party, had a great time, will do it again.

With that being my first "party" I was very impressed. Minus the few times the power was cut. I'd have to say that Christopher Lawrence was probably the best on friday night. We went to the lake on sat. to pass out and swim so I wasn't able to see too much during the day.
One of the nights I was at my tent getting more water and I heard Seven Cities being played. I was like aaahhhh I need to run out to the main stage to check it out before its over!
Graham Gold was really really good. Yves was really good too. Lange was amazing. It sucked that he had all the problems with everything. I could barely even stand by the end of his set so I had to go to my tent early. :( But then in my tent, I looked out the open door, saw blue sky and huge clouds, and I could hear Pulsar playing. I got SO hyper out of nowhere I ran out of my tent and went back up to the stage. I was in the back and could hardly dance or anything at that point, but the set was AMAZING!! Sadly I had to go back to my tent before the end of his set.
I wasn't able to buy any of the sets on my way out, but does anyone know how to get them? I'd like Graham Gold's, Lange, and Pulsar definately, and maybe one or two others. It was definately a long drive for us to make coming from near boston.... we stopped at a friends just west of buffalo to pick her up for the weekend. The whole trip there and back was about 1700 miles! But it was all worth it. Definately an awesome weekend to remember. :)

I’m still feeling the fatigue from the weekend but it would be about time to tell my side of the WEMF journey.

We got up there Saturday morning with the ‘sausage fest’ shuttle bus that had a ratio a boy-girl ratio of 9-1 approximately. Saturday was an absolutely beautiful day, the ride was nice and about 12:30 pm we were making our way though the popo’s barricade that was set up close to the entrance. I found it funny how the scattered houses in the area all posted about 50 sings of the ‘keep out – private property’ and ‘beware of the dog’ genre. The lineup at the entrance wasn’t that bad so we proceeded to set up our tent quite swiftly; the camping area was crammed we only managed to find a decent spot all the way at the back in the middle of some hardcore potheads.

We bounced from tent to tent before splitting to the beach in anticipation of the dusk; we grabbed some liquor in the city but since we weren’t creative or gutsy enough to smuggle it inside we had not choice but to chill for about 2 hours on that road leading to the parking lot juicing it down and looking out for the security patrol haha. Before we knew it, it was about 10 pm so we headed to the coors light area to sip down a couple of those bloody $6 miniscule cans then it was time to proceed to the main stage.

John the dentist: I spotted the man as he was leaving the coors light zone to the destiny stage and only got to wish him good luck for his set. He didn’t disappoint but I think that he hasn’t been properly placed in the lineup, somehow I get the feeling that he was somewhat isolated as he was followed by 2 techno sets; as it has been said he most likely went to early. He accomplished his job of warming up the crowd.

The next man to tear up the place was THE COMMANDAH; he dropped some hard and fierce techno that didn’t make me stop jumping until I ran out of breath. That was the hardest set I’ve heard live since Dave Clarke’s iDance piece last year. Exergo, you called his set brutal, I can understand that you don’t like those kind of tearing beats what did you think of Liberator then? I grew up in Belgium in the Thunderdome generation so I crave the hard ferocious beats, Liberator didn’t do it for me but Commander made my night! I was in the first row right next to the speakers losing it to that terrorizing set of our German friend.

In the meantime I met PVD rules and ThatAznGuy(Sage) who told me about his clandestine scheme to ‘help’ Lange and Pulser carry their records and the shrewd getaway with them ;)  ;) :D haha

Now it was about 2:15 and the man who I came to see was making his way onto the stage, Dr. Trance thanked Commander Tom and introduced DJ YDR and the crowd went ABSOLUTELY FANATICAL!   me did people come to party or to behave like at an opera there, the atmosphere sucked some big hairy balls 90% of people looked asleep, that was truly disappointing!
Deruyter’s set was sheer exquisiteness, there were just a few too many slowdowns for my liking but nevertheless we were blessed with an exceedingly energetic tech-trance set. Anyone knows if any of those sets were recorded? I’m looking forward to the track list, all I can remember now is: DJ Millow - Can You Hear Me (Brian Koner Hardtrance Remix), DJ Tiesto - Lethal Industry, Ferry Corsten - Punk(Kid Vicious Remix). I should’ve posted something on Sunday I wouldn’t remembered a few more. Sage and myself were right in front of the stage I had my Belgian flag out at a couple of occasions, which we got signed by YDR later on.

A couple of tunes in Graham Gold’s set and the fatigue starts to kick it unrelentingly, as I barely slept the 2 days before that I could barely stay on my feet; I go for a little nap around 4am, I set my buddy’s alarm for 6, right on time for Pulser’s set and the next thing I know my buddy’s struggling to get me up in the 10 am heat :mad: bloody hell

Overall it all was a solid experience, we could’ve coordinated the TAs reunion a bit better, but hopefully everyone will come out in full force on September 1st @ Gov

Cheers
(I was the 1 with Zidane's #10 France jersey)

^^^I could be wrong, but I think it was maybe Lange? I was sleeping in my tent when I heard it come on. Wish I hadn't been so tired...
