Acupuncture?

Anyone ever tried this before?

Reason I ask is because everytime I use my mouse/keyboard at work my right arm/wrist hurts and its getting worse. I figured I would try acupuncture for some reason. Supposed to be good for anxiety so I could maybe get a 2 for 1.

Any thoughts? or possibly some funny comments?

Probably should see a doc first and make sure you are not getting some sort of RSI or other injury first.

I had some acupuncture done in my lumbar region once. Long story short, it was a pain in the arse :(

Definitely on pins and needles, waiting for these, myself.

I recommend a full body massage instead. Get someone who is certified and have them spend a few extra minutes working on and stretching your wrist. Moving the muscles around should help much more than poking holes in your skin.

This.

Although there are some studies that seem to have supported acupuncture's efficacy in relieving pain it is more likely only a placebo effect.

I think Acupuncture has some benefits. My dad and a few other friends have had it, and the feedback has been largely positive.
A lot of the Acupuncturists here in Sydney are actually GPs who do it when needed, and are normal doctors at other times so it sort of adds some credibility to it.

It can't hurt to try it on the wrist. It's non-invasive and doesn't cost all that much, so give it a go Nacht.

When I was a kid I was losing 1/2 point of diopter due to a specific form of myopia (caused by a spasm of the ciliary muscle). Traditional western medecine failed to cure me for about 2 years, then my parents made me try acupuncture (a 3-month-long treatment), and it stopped afterwards. It may be coincidental but it worked on me, so...

Well today my boss gave me the number of this lady who supposedly does massage/acupuncture. He told me she fixed a few people he knows and that a friend of his even tested her by pretending to have a problem with his arm. Supposedly she checked his arm for a bit and told him that there was nothing wrong with it. I'm feeling pretty good about this so far!
