BLKMARKET MEMBERSHIP PRESENTS TYRANT - LEE BURRIDGE & CRAIG RICHARDS
We hope that you have had a good holidays with your families and have finally gotten past that New Years Eve hangover. Birthdays are always special and on Friday 14th January we are celebrating Taimur Agha's BIG 30th Birthday. This year, we have a very special surprise for you in store and a booking that we have been trying to put together for over 5 years now. TYRANT are the duo changed the game of dance music in 2000 for us and many others. It was with their release of their self titled debut 2xCD mix compilation called TYRANT. It was Lee Burridge & Craig Richards who fused techno, house, progressive, breakbeat, and funked out tunes. They pushed a new sound that no one was doing at the time. Then again in 2002, they released their 2nd compilation, NO SHOES, NO CAKE. TYRANT aka Lee Burridge & Craig Richards are two of the most influential DJ's to us and the TYRANT sound is the biggest inspiration in the sound that we push as well.
It has taken a very long time to get both of them to finally do this for us, and we are very pleased to annouce this to all of you. This will be their first NYC exclusive appearance as TYRANT in 7 years since they last played together at ARC in 2003.
Just to get you in the mood, we would like to share with you a TYRANT live set recorded in 2003 at TONIC in North Carolina that still stands the test of time. Click Here
Residents Taimur & Fahad will be joining TYRANT on the decks for this special event.
We will have a 4-point Dynacord Sound System and special 3D mapping visuals (never seen before at our parties) will be provided by Joshua Harms.
This event will be held at GOOD UNITS located in the basement of the Hudson Hotel.
Doors open at 10pm sharp. Make sure you come from start to finish as you will not want to miss this musical journey we have in store for you.
