Just add em to that thread.
Rules are one event thread per event.
Chances are this will be merged with one of those. Don't sweat it, lots of people come through doing it. |

Dave, we are going to have some TranceFamily SF exclusive content from the artists that we are planning to post here in the coming days. Also TranceFamily SF can reuse this thread for all upcoming events in the future, so we will always have only one thread for events, no matter how many events there are.

TranceFamily SF had the rare opportunity to get in touch with Akesson for an exclusive interview to help fans get more familiar with him on a personal level.
What was your first reaction when you were contacted to play a gig here in SF? How did your family/friends react?
“I was really happy about it! From past experiences I don’t get too excited until everything is set in stone, but when I saw the people involved it made me even more excited. My family and friends are excited too! Not many of my friends or family have travelled overseas, so to play in another country is always a great experience!”
What are you up to within the upcoming couple weeks before the gig?
“After spending the past month playing gigs, having parties, celebrating Christmas and my birthday, I’m catching up with tons of promo’s, emails, and other things. I also need to look over my projects and begin planning for the upcoming year. Making sure I have all the right tracks for my gig in San Francisco is on my to-do list as well!”
Can you give TFSF an idea of what your set is going to be like?
“Even though I have my sound and a general style, I can’t predict my set since I’m not sure what the people are going to like. I try to read the crowd as good as possible and not enter the decks with a prewritten track list and CD’s marked with mixing time. But expect both melodic and banging techy tracks!”
Have you listened or heard of any of the DJ’s that are opening for you?
“I’ve seen a few videos– which were quite impressive; however, I always do my research on DJ’s I play with so I’m going make sure to look all them up!”
What are some activities you want to do while in SF since it’s your first time here in the states?
“I want to see and experience some sightseeing, try some local food, and experience the club scene. I also want to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the big sloping roads downtown. Other than that– I’m open for suggestions!”
What American food are you eager to try for the first time?[/b]
“I’ve always wanted to try a real American hamburger from any local place… nom nom nom .”
What were some of the highlights of 2010 for you?
“Well to be honest, my gig schedule last year hasn’t been very busy as I was working on a lot of new material and changed my artist name into my full name. But one of my big highlights of 2010 was signing up with JAM DJ Management. Now the gigs are coming in more than ever! Also other highlights include my collaboration with Egyptian duo Aly & Fila called “Perfect Red” which received a lot of support and my EP containing Robot Religion and Sandcastle Express I was given the chance to show a different side of producing.”
What are you looking forward to in 2011? Have you set any specific goals for the New Year?
“There’s already so much going on in 2011; I think this is going to be my busiest year with new tracks, new collaborations, and my first released vocal tracks. Many gigs are also planned for the year with new exciting debuts including my new single “Painting Pyramids” which will be out in February with a banging Nhato remix. Also my remix for the new RAM single RAMazing will be out in February debuting on ASOT too.
I’m also really looking forward to playing at the ASOT500 Pre-Party in Amsterdam, which Luminosity arranged, as well as my UK debut at O2 Acadamy Leeds with Ferry Corsten presented by Digital Society.
My goal is as always to develop my style, try new things, and try to become a better producer and DJ. After doing the same type of style over and over it get’s uninspiring and boring. Trying new things are fun, exciting, and very inspirational; so we will see where it goes!”
What are some other places you would like to visit next time in the U.S?
“Miami, LA, and New York would be cool. Hopefully soon!”
A big THANK YOU to Bjorn Akesson for doing this exclusive interview and we hope to see many of you TFSF fans at 525 Howard January 22nd! Be sure to catch Akesson’s podcast Threshold on afterhours.com every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month! 22 pm CET/ 21 GMT/ 16 EST |

Sorry, you can't re-use a thread to promote events because you choose not to create an event specific thread OR one already exists and you want your own.
I'm closing this. Please use one of the pre-existing threads if you want to promote your links. |
