Hey guys,

Those of you that know me are aware that I have been playing mostly techno tracks the last couple of years.

However, I went back to my prog house roots for this year's edition of Nu Love. In fact, I had the chance of playing a set right after midnight in the prog house room...and I had a blast! The vibe was awesome, the crowd was really into it, so it was easy for me to play out there.

I must admit that, technically, it was not the best that I can do (had problems with the monitors) but I still think it's a nice set that had a good flow to it. Since I was playing after the countdown, I wanted to keep things melodic and groovy, so I stayed away from tracks that are dark and heavy...the opposite of what I usually play!

It was mixed on CDJ's since I'm not using Traktor or Ableton...yet.

You can find it on my Soundcloud page: soundcloud.com/maxrain

Enjoy!

3- Christian Smith - System Of Survival (Original Mix)
4- Ryan Thompson - Long Road Home
5- Ticon - Jinxed (Christian Smith Remix)
6- Sound 5 - The Hacienda Must Be Rebuilt (Tim Davison & Nick Izzo Remix)
7- DAT Soundsystem feat. Dale Anderson - Mura
8- Age Of Love - Age Of Love (Manuel De La Mare Remix)

Wanted to start with a classic prog track and decided to go with Prydz remix (from 2006). I was happy cuz I never had the chance to play it out before.

For those of you wanting to hear more prog house in Montreal, please note that I will be playing at OP Bar on Saturday, January 29th, alongside my good friend CF (who played with me at Nu Love).

Come check out this new place in Old Montreal (155, St-Paul), a very nice and intimate club.

Expect to hear prog house at the beginning of the night...and some driving techno later on!

Contact me for guestlist.
