Maybe i should listen to his other productions then. :D seriously, could not comment too much on mix quality on my laptop an SC. but i was more reacting to the production type. that fluffy, just brabling along, while dropping a few lost piano keys, going nowhere, E ASOT/Anjuna type CRAP. (but as you say , well produced as he hits the spot for many)

link something with more balls from him

StoryTeller, taste differs ofcourse, but for me, this is exactly the kind of fluffy e that killed trance. It's that gay type of trance with no balls. It sounds like wet farts.... Would take Deadmau5, Mark Knight or Wolfgang Gartner anytime. And if it realy needs to be trance, then Simon Patterson or Paul Miller, awesome melodies and drive, while good depth in the mix.

Progressive House killed Trance?

give it a name :D but that fluffy Robert Miles wannabee piano , they can't even play, they hit a few lost notes and think it's dreamy (they might be mistaken it with BORING) (though Children was a good song for it's time) is what killed it for me.

Now, take Paul Millers Benigna, that's got some testikels :D

Matthew Nagle is making me a little wet at the moment....

While we're at it. Skrillex is quite talented too :toocool:

What do you mean based around 1 person? They are all different people and each have a pretty unique sound

If your talking about Chris Reece then, sure I guess I see your point. He owns unreleased digital and all the other guys you mentioned have many releases on that label.

Surgeon, Session Victim, Nebraska, Eelke Klein, Claude Monnet, Vince watson, Alessandro Diga... So many others too.

It's all the same producer. No joke. I hit like 50% of them up a few years ago and I got 1 response saying: "Look you messages me X times now. I wonder how many more I can expect, regards Chris" :D.

And yes, they have a different sound in terms of sounddesign but the overal sound always matches with all these artists.

Probably Helios. There's an airy quality to his tracks that works very well with me. He doesn't oversimplify things, instead he chooses the right sounds to begin with.
Rodri Santos
Infected Mushroom--> Psytrance

Airbase---> Trance

Chris Reece ( i have heard he collaborates with EDX,Dinka,Leventina all the helvetic nerds in sort etc... half of the prog.house scene is him if this is true) ---> Prog.House

Techno---> Dean Newton /Eric Prydz.

Electro ----> Wolfgang Gartner

Andy Blueman / Hans Zimmer ----> Orchestal. (I still prefer Andy Blueman, he is amazing imo but we already have this discussion)

Drum N Bass ---> Pendulum.

Special mention to TyDi on the effects section and to Sander van Doorn for the unique atmospheres that his tracks have.

there is a lot more of course but the big names of it are those around Chris Reece, there are good italian producers too Matteo Marini is another good producer.

Looking at your names list i think we have different concepts of prog.house, well i am indeed very limited, i like the swiss crew as you call them and very few other artists but Martin Roth, Jerome Isma-Ae and Jaytech i don't qualify them as prog.house, specially the first. Same goes for Matt Darey , if you are thinking in the see the sun track you have probably the sound of Aurosonic in their mind... and they're quite versatile in this aspect, that track is proggy but they have even big room tech trance. (Don't forget to check their remix of Aly & Fila - Listening if you liked See the Sun)

I like some tracks of the others from the list, but not as much as i've listened to Dinka, Leventina, Edx etc... in addition i haven't heard of this guys : Stan Kovlev, Loquai,Soundprank, Sunfriends. I like progressive house but i'm quite new into this genre.
