How do you do it....
after 6 years i had to give up my office for one of the many VPs my company just hired
Its my 2nd day in a Cube and I hate it |

| Hang pictures of people you love (so you can look at them when you're sad) and hang pictures of people you hate (so you can throw darts at them when you're angry). |

The taller cubes aren't bad since people can't see what you are doing.
My cube is bigger than most of the managers offices lol but only because I require a lot of cabinet and counter space.
Theft is usually a problem, and people sneaking up on you when you are doing something you aren't supposed to do.
Oh you just wait till someone starts knocking on it (as a way to say hello) as they walk by. That irritates the out of me. |

| I find the office infrastructure/organisation is the least of my worries. Getting out of bed every day and being subservient to “the man” are much bigger concerns for me. Where I sit in hell doesn’t bother me much, other than the problems surfing TA during work hours (which is much more difficult now). |

| I could never work in an office unless they have even spectrum (or better red-leaning spectrum) lighting. I have the florescent blue-tainted . I feel like my face is burning after an hour and a couple times my fingers started flaking! That light isn't safe yo. |

Use Opera and set it to block images and show nothing but black text in a white background. You can then keep it open in a corner of your screen :) |

Word. That's what annoys the out of the configuration in my office, there's 3 dudes that can stare at my PC all day long, plus anyone that walks by - and occasionally that includes the big boss. Guess why I haven't been regularly in TA for a while.
It's particularly annoying in the days I've got nothing to do. Browse the web and have everyone know your lazy ass is being paid to do nothing while there's other people in the room working their asses off, or aimlessly pretend you're working? |
