WMC Week Discussion Thread (March 8 -12)

Being that there are 2 seperate Weeks of partying I'm starting one thread for WMC Week & 1 for Ultra week. I'm closing the other ones. No need to have everything cluttered ALLL in one thread.
So Whore them out & PLEASE! in the Events thread keep it only events listing as this year is gonna be an even bigger mission to keep the WMC Forum running smoothly. Just FYI if your post has no events listing in it... It will get deleted so don't ask me why i did that.

So it looks like the party list is released. Talk about a disaster, wow. I mean I'm sure some more things will be announced but wow.... Ultra week is where it's at. That's the real WMC as far as I'm concerned.

the list always starts out that small. i mean im sure it wont be as big as ultra week but there will still be plenty of events added to that list. |

Yeah, it's just that it's less than 2 months away. I dunno wtf everyone is waiting for unless there is really nothing to wait for... |

| guys... go look at the previous years. this is when events start getting announced. the peak probably being early to mid feb. but of course events continue to pop up until the actual week. im not saying anything mind blowing is going to get announced for wmc week but do expect parties to start popping up. |

but they are playing a risky game this year, they need to announce events early otherwise people would have changed thier plans, from my side i am not too concerned, i am already booked for ultra week. |

at this point i dont think they really care too much about the party demographic. remember, wmc is more than just parting. its the actual conference. most parties arent even part of the official conference anyway. the people that actually attend the conference sure do like a party or two but arent as crazy as the rest of us. hell you cant do the conference when you're going to 3 parties a day anyway.
so like ive said, sure they'll be some parties but nothing mind blowing. its been obvious since this whole fiasco started that ultra week was getting all the massive events. |

the real question for WMC is going to be how many artist show up for the workshops, awards, etc
My guess is, not many, WMC is still going to be a massive failure this year in all aspects of it.
A personal note for me: I see Dave Seaman is at the Shelborne, I was just listening to an old set of his at work yesterday live @ TLV 2003 and I wondered where he went. Answers that question. |

| Just received an email blast from Giuseppe Ottaviani stating he will be in Miami 03/12 WMC week. Anyone else have anymore info on this??? |
