Laptop Bags

I'm in the market for one. My current bag is on its last legs. I'm leaning towards messenger type Timbuk2. I like the look and that its made in the USA, although its kinda pricey.

Any one have one or other suggestions? I really don't want a backpack because its primarily for business use. Its for small laptop 12" so I don't want anything too big.

I have a small TB2 that I rock every now and again.

Crumpler is also not bad, as well as SAG

thx. I was looking at Crumpler but I did't like that there's no handle on the top. It looks better without one but its very useful for quickly picking it up.

What style? Leather? Nylon? Clean? Rugged/distressed? Colors? Need details.

On a related note, I've been looking for a backpack for a laptop + other stuff (17" laptop + miscellaneous stuff + a few tools). Expensive is fine (just not 4 figures). Needs to be fairly durable, since it's sitting around job site & what not. Compartments are good. Black only. Material doesn't matter, but the more boring-looking, the better.

Such things seem to be limited in quantity. I guess backpacks aren't really in style.

I inherited one. Functionally, it had been great until one of the zippers broke, a couple weeks ago. I'd rather have the excuse to buy something that is not ass-ugly than bother fixing it.

thats kinda what happened to me. I dropped my bag on a very cold morning and the zipper handle broke off. The bag is perfectly fine but without the zipper its no good.
